Our client, Stonewood Group Inc., is a leading manufacturer of natural food and beverage products. As a fully integrated company, they oversee every aspect of their business, from product formulation to packaging and logistics.

The company prioritizes food safety and conducts rigorous testing at every critical point in their process. With a strong presence in North America and a growing global reach, Stonewood Group Inc. supplies leading retailers and branded manufacturers.

Reporting to the CEO, the Chief Financial Officer will oversee all financial and administrative matters of the company. This includes contributing to the development and implementation of the Company's operational plan and strategic business plan with the executive management team.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment, including plant/cost accounting. They will also have a proven track record of managing a finance department and directing all activities involved in financial stewardship.

The Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for overseeing the accounting, hedging, tax, insurance, audit, budget, and credit and treasury functions. They will also manage the company's cash flows and provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the finance staff.

The successful candidate will have a strong commercial acumen and be able to apply appropriate commercial and financial principles. They will also have a demonstrated ability to make an immediate positive impression upon others and command respect.

The following are the key performance deliverables for this position:

  1. Contributing to the development and implementation of the Company's operational plan and strategic business plan with the executive management team.
  2. Contributing to the overall management of the firm, as part of the senior management team.
  3. Working with the business line managers on relevant Key Performance Indicators and metrics to provide timely and accurate information.
  4. Overseeing and managing the accounting, hedging, tax, insurance, audit, budget, and credit and treasury functions.
  5. Managing the company's cash flows.
  6. Providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the finance staff in the organization.
  7. Leading the budgeting and auditing processes for the company.
  8. Providing the primary financial interface in support of the CEO to banking institutions and other outside interested parties.
  9. Remaining informed about the business and implementing measurements and reporting dashboards for real-time performance assessment.
