About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Millwright Mechanic to join our team at PepsiCo Beverages. As a Millwright Mechanic, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing equipment to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our production lines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain equipment in a satisfactory condition for safe operation
  • Execute preventative maintenance schedules
  • Perform equipment repairs as needed
  • Install new equipment and systems
  • Improve the operation efficiency of production equipment and central services
  • Diagnose/Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and optimize running settings
  • Interact daily with computerized maintenance and parts programs
  • Work with other departments on process improvement activities
  • Recommending changes and/or improvements to plant equipment/facilities/procedures
  • Work with outside contractors and other trades
  • Operate and change over equipment as required
  • Perform all assigned duties in a safe and productive manner
  • Keep work area orderly and clean
  • Other tasks as directed by Maintenance lead hands and/or Supervisors
  • Work collaboratively with team members

Requirements:

  • Must exhibit a safety-first mindset
  • Must hold a valid Red Seal Industrial Mechanic / Millwright license with a certificate of Qualification
  • Experience in the beverage/food/packaged goods industry preferred
  • Must be skilled in use of machine shop equipment (lathe, mill, grinder, etc.)
  • Must be able to lift/carry 50-85 lbs
  • Must be able to push/pull up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to perform frequent standing, bending, twisting, crawling, kneeling, squatting, climbing, reaching and grasping
  • Must be able to work on computers and iPads
  • OT is readily available
  • Flexibility required regarding shifts; notice provided if a shift change is necessary
  • Must be able to work night shifts or weekend shifts as required
