About the Role:
The Advanced Practice Nurse Educator (APNE) will provide leadership in clinical education and serve as a resource person for nursing and inter-professional teams. The successful candidate will develop, deliver, and evaluate education for inpatient and ambulatory services, aligning with our strategic plan and academic mandate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assesses and evaluates learning needs of nurses to support client care.
- Provides expertise in assessment and treatment recommendations for point-of-care nurses.
- Serves as a content expert and resource person in their specialized field of practice.
- Coaches, mentors, educates, and supports staff in individual and team settings.
- Collaborates with leaders and stakeholders on evidence-based nursing standards and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in nursing or a related healthcare field, preferably with an education leadership stream.
- Valid registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario and Canadian Nurses Association Certification in a related care specialty preferred.
- Minimum three years of experience in pediatric and/or rehabilitation nursing, with at least one year in an education role.
- Experience in adult learning, program development, evaluation, quality improvement, and research.
Compensation:
We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
