Chief Sustainability Officer

Explore Edmonton Corporation seeks a seasoned professional to drive our environmental sustainability initiatives as Director, Asset Management and Sustainability.
We are looking for a visionary leader with extensive experience in implementing social and environmental sustainability programs. Your expertise will help us minimize our environmental footprint while maximizing our positive social impact.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of proven experience in developing and implementing comprehensive sustainability strategies that align with Explore Edmonton's vision and goals. They will also possess strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate teams to achieve strategic goals and drive organizational success.
A bachelor's degree in Environment and Eco-Related studies is required, along with professional certification in carbon measurement and management. Excellent communication skills, strong writing and public presentation skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software are essential.
This role requires flexibility to work overtime where required, with occasional business travel. The salary for this position is approximately $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

- Brainstorm and identify creative ways to balance business obligations with environmental and social responsibilities.
- Design, launch, and manage sustainability programs and initiatives addressing key environmental and social impact areas.
- Integrate sustainability into new product offerings and business opportunities.
- Maintain current working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
