About the Company

Vaco is a leading provider of professional staffing services, and our client is one of Ontario's largest electricity transmission and distribution service providers.

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Services Manager to join their team.

About the Opportunity

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the general ledger, including the chart of accounts, reviewing account balances, reconciliations, and account structures.

They will also manage and execute the monthly and quarterly close and reporting processes, including the timely and accurate issuance of management reports.

Additionally, the candidate will support the corporate consolidation of multiple entities, reconciling and investigating intercompany differences, and acting as an administrator of the SAP consolidation module.

They will ensure appropriate recording and reporting of pension and benefit entitlements, as well as other corporate accruals.

The Financial Services Manager will provide quarterly variance analysis to external auditors on key financial statement lines and maintain internal control policies and procedures.

They will also follow up to ensure that guidance on generally accepted accounting principles is followed within the company.

The ideal candidate will have a CPA or other relevant professional business designation, with 8-10 years of experience in accounting and financial reporting at an intermediate level.

They will have excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with other members of the Finance team, IT, internal audit, and other relevant lines of business.

The salary range for this position is $107,000 - $117,000 per year.
