About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Inventory Management Specialist to join our team in Mississauga. As an integral part of our operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire inventory lifecycle, from procurement to storage and distribution.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, recruit, and develop warehouse staff to ensure seamless inventory management.
  • Maintain accurate inventory tracking systems, identifying areas for continuous improvement.
  • Analyze inventory levels to determine optimal stocking quantities, taking into consideration consumption rates and market conditions.
  • Prepare detailed reports on inventory operations, stock levels, and adjustments, including root cause analysis for variances.
  • Negotiate cost-effective inbound and outbound freight rates with suppliers.
  • Monitor expected shipment dates and update systems accordingly.
  • Maintain schedules for inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Responsible for accuracy and inventory controls, ensuring timely adjustments as needed.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in inventory management or a related field.
  • Intermediate MS Excel skills, including Vlookups and pivot tables.
  • Experience with Inventory/Warehousing modules of ERP systems (JD Edwards preferred).
  • Strong communication and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
