Job Description

Celestica Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated test equipment and test programs for product testing and design verification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop test solutions, including hardware and software elements, and system integration, qualification, and installation.
  • Develop production test strategies based on product design specifications.
  • Debug tester issues using design of experiments, tools, and failure analysis methodologies.
  • Stabilize test solutions for manufacturing, working to optimize with process teams, focusing on cycle time and yield.
  • Collaborate with product design teams to provide feedback on testability, test coverage, diagnosability, reparability, firmware/diagnostics, and user experience.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of software development experience on Linux OS (Ubuntu, CentOS, Redhat) with minimum one language (Python preferred).
  • Minimum 3-5 years of engineering development and manufacturing operations support (preferred, not mandatory).
  • Strong operations background (electronics manufacturing experience preferred, not mandatory).
  • Knowledge of industry and quality standards, testing software, processes, and methodologies, and failure analysis.
  • Knowledge of IT platforms, database design, and programming languages appropriate to the area.
