Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team in Winnipeg. As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing maintenance on shop facility machinery and equipment. You will also perform corrective, reactive, and preventative maintenance of facilities buildings, equipment, and installations, as well as repairs and project work.

You will need to be proficient in safety training and able to climb, work at heights, and qualify for fall restraint and confined spaces. A Class 3 license is also required. In addition, you must hold an Inter-Provincial Red Seal HDET Certificate and currently hold a position within Winnipeg's maintenance department.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A valid driver's license
  • Lift-truck operator certification
  • Proficiency in the operation of lift-truck, up to 21,000 pounds (10,000 kg) capacity
  • Good hand-eye coordination
  • A High school diploma or equivalent General Education Diploma (GED)

Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year and a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a retirement plan.
