Job Title: Design Consultant

Join the Government of Alberta as a Design Consultant and contribute to the development of child intervention, placement resources policy, and program development.

About the Role:

The Ministry of Children and Family Services is seeking a highly skilled Design Consultant to support the development of evidence-based policies and programs that promote the well-being of children, youth, and families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain provincial practice/program/policy/regulations related to placement resources.
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform policy and practice decisions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify issues and trends that inform potential changes and improvements to standards/practice/policy.
  • Lead special projects and initiatives that contribute to enhanced quality of services, programs, and directions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Social Work or Social Work Diploma and 2 years of related experience; or Master of Social Work and 1-year related experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years recent Child Intervention Delivery in Alberta, supervisory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of relevant Acts, regulations, and policies.
  • Knowledge of Indigenous communities and government agreements/delegations.
  • Experience in research planning, design, project management, and evaluation.
