Job Summary

As a System and Network Administrator, you will play a vital role in managing and maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, ensuring the smooth operation and security of our systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Administration:
    • Optimize server and network hardware performance based on application requirements.
    • Apply server application and network patches and upgrades in collaboration with the Desktop Support Analyst(s) and end users to ensure stability and performance objectives are met.
    • Maintain system security by implementing and enforcing security policies and protocols.
    • Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and implement solutions.
  • Network Administration:
    • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
    • Ensure network security by implementing firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security measures.
    • Monitor network performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Backup and Recovery:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive backup and recovery strategy to protect critical data.
    • Test backup procedures regularly to ensure their effectiveness.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of IT infrastructure, network administration, and security best practices. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential.
