Job Title: Senior SAP ABAP Technical Consultant

We are seeking a seasoned Senior SAP ABAP Technical Consultant to lead and develop end-to-end technical projects from ECC 6.0 to SAP S/4HANA. This is a permanent position with a hybrid work schedule, requiring 3 days per week on-site in Ottawa, ON.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Technical Leadership: Apply technical expertise to develop and ensure efficient solutions, meeting customer satisfaction.
  2. Customer and Functional Collaboration: Work with customers and functional staff to resolve software issues and respond to suggestions for modifications or enhancements.
  3. Technical Guidance: Provide guidance to offshore development teams.
  4. Process Evaluation and Improvement: Evaluate and recommend changes to development standards and established methods to achieve departmental/BU objectives.
  5. Complex Project Consulting: Provide technical consulting on complex projects.
  6. Compliance and Governance: Adhere to processes within the Business System environment to ensure sustainable compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
  7. End-to-End Project Management: Lead and develop end-to-end technical projects from ECC 6.0 to SAP S/4HANA, focusing on Fiori, OData, and ABAP technologies.
  8. Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with stakeholders and technical teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective technical strategies.
  9. Business Solution Development: Develop and implement business solutions, technical methodologies, frameworks, and best practices, with a specialized emphasis on Fiori, OData v4, and ABAP integration.
  10. Mentorship and Knowledge Transfer: Provide expert guidance and mentorship to technical team members, ensuring effective teamwork and knowledge transfer.
  11. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges during the project, ensuring seamless Fiori, OData, and ABAP integration.
  12. Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Oversee risk assessment and mitigation strategies to ensure a smooth technical project with minimal disruptions to business operations.
  13. Communication: Establish and maintain effective communication channels to provide regular updates to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements:
  1. 7+ years of experience as an SAP ABAP Technical Consultant with SAP implementation lifecycle projects.
  2. Experience with SAP UI5 and XML.
  3. Experience developing and enhancing ABAP reports, SAP queries, and function modules.
