Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Solutions Architect - Veeva Vault to join our team. As a key player in driving our digital initiatives forward, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and contributing innovative solutions that optimize our DigitalX design architecture landscape.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design comprehensive application solutions that address business needs and challenges, creating architectural designs that are scalable, secure, and maintainable.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and platforms for application development projects, considering factors such as performance, scalability, security, and integration capabilities.
  • Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and Digital teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Provide technical leadership throughout the development life cycle, from initial concept through to implementation and support.
  • Design and oversee the integration of new applications with existing systems and software, ensuring seamless operation and data consistency across the enterprise.
  • Ensure application solutions are optimized for performance and user experience, conducting system performance analysis and recommending improvements.
  • Ensure application architectures comply with relevant regulations and standards, incorporating security measures into the design to protect against threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Create detailed documentation for application architectures, including design specifications, integration patterns, and deployment guidelines.
  • Collaborate with team members within the subdivision and across other digital and business units.
  • Engage in continuous learning and professional development to stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in a specific area of expertise.
  • Contribute innovative ideas and approaches to enhance project outcomes and digital capabilities.
  • Regularly report on initiative progress and outcomes/value to your Capability Lead and team members.
  • Employ analytical and problem-solving skills to overcome challenges and deliver effective solutions.
  • Ensure the highest quality and consistency in the work delivered.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Data Science, or Marketing.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of demonstrated relevant experience in the Pharma R&D Space, with a focus on Clinical operations.
  • Direct experience implementing or consulting on known Life Sciences technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience or strong interest in specific areas of digital capability, including Veeva R&D Vault.
  • Experience with Veeva configuration and implementation.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong background in software development with expertise in multiple programming languages, databases/data lakes, and cloud platforms.
  • Architectural Knowledge: Deep understanding of architectural principles and design patterns, microservices, API design, and development methodologies.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex business processes and associated datasets and create optimal technology solutions.
  • Communication and Leadership: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and lead development teams.
  • Continuous Learning: A commitment to staying current with emerging technologies, programming languages, and industry best practices.
  • Certifications in specific technologies, architecture frameworks, Agile delivery methodologies, and Software Validation processes can be beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Agile Champion: Adherence to DevOps principles and a proven track record with CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery.
