Mountain Plains Community Services Society of the North (MPCSSN) is a non-profit organization committed to providing community-focused programs that address the unique needs of the Northwest region of Alberta. We are accredited by CARF International and are a member of the ALIGN Association of Community Services as well as the Children's Welfare League of Canada.

Job Description

The Youth Care Specialist will work collaboratively with our team to ensure the overall success of our program. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing emotional support and using various counselling skills as required.
  • Ensuring clients' physical, medical, emotional, and other needs are met as identified.
  • Completing timely documentation, including daily client logs, communicating support plans with the team, and monthly progress reports.

We are seeking an individual with a degree or 2-year diploma in Child and Youth Care or a related human services field. A valid Alberta Class 5 Driver's License and a Clear Children's Service Intervention Record Check are also required.
