Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our team in Paris or Brantford. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating manual equipment, machining products to specified requirements, and maintaining equipment in a safe and productive condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate manual equipment to produce high-quality products
  • Read and interpret blueprints, production shop orders, and drawings to ensure accurate machining
  • Administer metrology knowledge and experience to ensure precision and accuracy
  • Operate overhead cranes and forklifts for material handling of large products
  • Maintain equipment in safe and productive condition, including regular routine lubrication, cleaning, and coolant level maintenance
Requirements
  • Prior machinist experience required; a machinist ticket is an asset
  • High school diploma required
  • Good understanding of machining principles and knowledge of cutting tools, speeds, and feeds
  • Simple trigonometry calculations required
  • Good command of the English language, both written and verbal
  • Familiarity with material handling equipment and safe handling of large objects
