About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Lakeview Tandoori Bistro Ltd. As a key member of our restaurant operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our food service department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, promoting a culture of excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Operations Management
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules, ensuring that all food preparation and service meet quality control standards.
    • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, minimizing waste and optimizing inventory.
    • Prepare budget and cost estimates, ensuring that all financial aspects of food service operations are managed effectively.
  • Customer Service
    • Address customers' complaints or concerns, providing exceptional service and ensuring that all issues are resolved promptly.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights for business growth and improvement.
    • Prepare food order summaries for the chef, ensuring that all orders are accurate and fulfilled efficiently.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service environment.
  • Work Environment
    • Fast-paced environment with a focus on customer satisfaction.
    • Standing for extended periods and walking are required.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Client focus and excellent oral communication skills.
    • Flexibility and a team player attitude.
    • Initiative and dependability.
