Job Description

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a commercial kitchen, preferably in a similar role. Responsibilities include:

  • Operating dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware
  • Scouring pots and pans to ensure they are spotless
  • Keeping records of food quantities used to maintain inventory control
  • Packaging take-out food for customers
  • Using manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs
  • Receiving, unpacking, and storing supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas
  • Removing kitchen garbage and trash to maintain a clean and hygienic environment
  • Sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing floors to maintain a high level of cleanliness
  • Washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruit for preparation
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required; we provide on-the-job training
  • Previous experience working in a commercial kitchen (will train)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team
  • Availability to work 30-40 hours per week
