Key Responsibilities:
  • Consult with healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans for clients
  • Apply finger and hand pressure to specific points of the body to relieve tension and pain
  • Assess clients through range of motion and muscle tests to propose effective treatment plans
  • Explain procedures, risks, and benefits to clients to ensure informed decision-making
  • Maintain accurate records of treatments provided
  • Massage and knead muscles and soft tissues to promote relaxation and relief
  • Provide home care instructions and information on techniques to support client well-being
Requirements:
  • Certification by a provincial or territorial association for massage therapists
  • Manual dexterity and ability to work in a physically demanding environment
  • Standing for extended periods and ability to work in a fast-paced setting
  • Client focus and strong values and ethics
