Job Description

The Forklift Equipment Operator will be responsible for operating material handling equipment, such as forklifts, in a safe and efficient manner. This includes moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. The operator must also maintain accurate inventory records, perform cycle counts, and ensure proper stock rotation.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Maintain Warehouse Operations: Ensure the smooth operation of warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and shipping merchandise.
  2. Operate Forklift Equipment: Safely operate various types of forklift equipment, such as sit-down and clamp forklifts.
  3. Manage Inventory: Maintain accurate inventory records, perform cycle counts, and ensure proper stock rotation.
  4. Ensure Safety: Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, report any safety concerns to management, and participate in physical inventories.

Key Qualifications

  • High School Diploma: Required.
  • Forklift Experience: At least 3 months of experience operating forklift equipment or using warehouse distribution equipment.
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours, lift/pull 50 lbs without restriction, and work in environments with variable noise levels, lighting conditions, and temperature variations.
  • Technical Skills: Basic math skills, attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and ability to use RF scanning equipment.
