Position Overview

Heat Tech Mechanical is seeking a dedicated Apprentice Plumber to join our skilled team. This role offers a permanent work term with a commitment of 40 to 50 hours per week. The successful candidate will hold a Registered Apprenticeship certificate and will benefit from prior experience in the plumbing field.

The position involves working in various settings, including:

Key Responsibilities

The Apprentice Plumber will be responsible for:

  • Installing plumbing fixtures and systems across different environments
  • Repairing plumbing systems and fixtures
  • Interpreting blueprints and specifications to plan plumbing layouts
  • Marking and locating positions for pipe connections and fixtures
  • Cutting openings in walls and floors for pipe installation
  • Joining pipes using various methods including soldering and welding
  • Testing pipes for leaks
  • Determining pipe sizing and system requirements
  • Measuring and shaping pipes as needed
Training and Development

As part of your apprenticeship, you will undergo:

  • Pre-apprenticeship training
  • Level one to four apprenticeship training
Physical Requirements

This role is physically demanding and requires:

  • Bending, crouching, and kneeling
  • Good hand-eye coordination
Essential Tools

Applicants must possess their own steel-toed safety boots.
