Reliability Engineer

WestCorp Solutions Ltd. is seeking a seasoned Mechanical Reliability Engineer to provide expert support to our Client in the North Vancouver, BC region. This role will work Monday – Friday, 8-hour days, with occasional overtime as required. The initial contract will be between 12 – 24 months, with potential for further extension. Candidates must be local to the area or willing to relocate for the duration of the contract.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Client to implement reliability improvements across the business.
  • Monitor equipment performance, identify areas for improvement, and generate reliability reports.
  • Facilitate Defect Elimination Projects using reliability analysis tools such as Six Sigma, RCM, Tap Root, PMO, DE & RCA.
  • Track and report cost savings, production increases, and equipment lifecycle improvements.
  • Participate in internal work groups to share best practices and problem resolution for reliability initiatives.
  • Ensure the Maintenance Support team adheres to safety protocols.
  • Contribute to department budget preparation for operational expenses and capital projects.
  • Engage in company reliability forums to promote best practices across the supply chain.

Requirements

  • Mechanical Engineering Degree
  • Professional Engineer designation.
  • Preference for Six Sigma and CMRP certification.
  • 8+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Previous experience in a unionized environment overseeing multiple trades and disciplines is an asset.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Leadership ability, team-oriented, and capable of working under pressure.
  • Self-motivated with high attention to detail and minimal supervision required.

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Pay: $80.00-$85.00 per hour
