Technologist Position in Interior Design at Fanshawe College

The Fanshawe College of Applied Arts and Technology is committed to providing an exceptional educational experience. As a Technologist in the Honours Bachelor of Interior Design Program, you will play a vital role in supporting students' learning and academic events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for software and equipment used in the program, including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Lumion, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Maintain samples and materials for the resource library and product samples.
  • Support student project competition submissions.
  • Conduct research, communicate with faculty and students, and coordinate academic events.
  • Maintain connections with industry professionals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field (or NCIDQ certification).
  • Minimum 2 years of recent and relevant experience in commercial and residential design.
  • Proficiency in MAC and PC operating systems.
  • NCIDQ certification (strongly preferred).
  • Working knowledge of the Ontario Building Code.
  • Experience with software and equipment related to interior design practices.

Estimated Salary: $25.67 per hour

This is a regular part-time Support position (up to 24 hours per week) with opportunities for hybrid work. Part-time Support Staff employees, as defined by the part-time Support Staff Collective Agreement, will be given first consideration. The position requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a team setting.
