About Our TeamThe Office of Addictions and Mental Health is comprised of a diverse group of professionals dedicated to creating a healthier society. Our team members bring together expertise in policy, research, and program development to address the complexities surrounding mental health and addiction. By working collaboratively, we strive to deliver innovative solutions that positively impact the lives of Nova Scotians.
Your RoleIn this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing policies related to mental health and addiction. You will work closely with stakeholders to gather input and feedback, ultimately contributing to the creation of evidence-based policies. Your analytical and research skills will enable you to navigate complex policy issues, providing sound recommendations to senior management.
Qualifications and Experience- A bachelor's degree or master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., public policy, social work, psychology).
- Five years of experience in policy, research, or program development, with a focus on mental health and addiction.
- Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to collect and analyze data to inform policy decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to various stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong interpersonal and project management skills.
