Our total rewards package includes a competitive salary range $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, RRSP matching, Wellness Allowance, and a well-rounded Benefits package. We also offer educational support and participation in our recognition and annual salary reviews program.
Job DescriptionThe Superintendent will report to the Director of Construction and be responsible for collaborating and leading the team to execute and deliver quality project(s) on time and on budget. This role requires at least 8+ years of experience in commercial and residential construction projects with a spend of $40 million plus.
- Coordinate and supervise all construction activities on site with a collaborative style.
- Ensure the project is constructed according to drawings, specifications, project schedule, and budget.
- Maintain the construction schedule and identify/resolve problems as necessary and in a timely manner.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including the community.
- Develop a project master schedule with the project team and ensure subcontractors comply with it.
- Review and update the schedule, cost forecast, and cash flow with the Project Manager.
- Maintain appropriate field documentation, including safety, progress reports, rental records, logs, etc.
- Organize and chair weekly subcontractor meetings.
- Supervise, mentor, coach, and train project personnel.
- Assist in securing new work by participating in client interviews when required.
- Represent Metro-Can Construction at company-sponsored and industry events.
- Maintain awareness of current marketplace and trends to gain and maintain our competitive advantage and develop effective bid strategies.
