Job Summary

GSD Transport Inc. is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Logistics Coordination: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, coordinating with other drivers and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Cargo Management: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Cargo Security: Ensure the safety and security of cargo, including tarping and securing loads as needed.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Possess a valid AZ class license.
  • Vehicle Type: Operate straight trucks (4,600kg+ or 10,000lbs+ with 3+ axles) and tractor-trailers.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Schedule: Work a regular 35-hour week, with opportunities for overtime as needed.
