Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Agricultural Labourer to join our team at GLG Organics. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and productivity of our crops.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply fertilizers and other plant nutrients to promote healthy growth
  • Clean and maintain the work area to prevent the spread of disease
  • Transplant seedlings and rooted cuttings to ensure optimal growth
  • Spray or dust plants with insecticides and fungicides to control pests and diseases
  • Report any signs of insect or disease damage to the team
  • Pot and re-pot plants to maintain soil quality
  • Plant bulbs and seeds to ensure a healthy crop
  • Mix and prepare soils to meet the needs of our crops
  • Assist in pruning trees, shrubs, and plants to promote healthy growth
  • Assist in grafting activities to improve crop yields
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens to ensure optimal growth
Work Environment

As an Agricultural Labourer at GLG Organics, you will work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks. You will be required to handle heavy loads and work in physically demanding conditions. You must be able to stand for extended periods and perform tasks that require bending, crouching, and kneeling.

Requirements
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and work in physically demanding conditions
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks that require bending, crouching, and kneeling
  • Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) weight handling
Language

The primary language of work is English.

Work Schedule

The work schedule is 30 to 60 hours per week.
