Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Store Operations Assistant to join our team in Humboldt, SK. The successful candidate will assist the Store Manager in overseeing all aspects of store operations, including sales, expenses, shrinkage, profitability, customer service, inventory management, merchandising, and freight management.
Responsibilities
- Sales: Assist in driving sales growth through effective merchandising, promotions, and customer engagement.
- Expenses: Collaborate with the Store Manager to manage expenses, ensure cost-effectiveness, and maintain a healthy profit margin.
- Shrinkage: Identify and mitigate shrinkage causes, implement loss prevention measures, and monitor stock levels.
- Profitability: Contribute to maximizing store profitability by analyzing sales data, identifying trends, and making informed decisions.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, resolve issues promptly, and ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Inventory Management: Assist in receiving, storing, and rotating merchandise, ensuring accurate inventory levels and minimizing stockouts.
- Mertchandising: Implement visually appealing store displays, maintain a clean and organized store environment, and promote products effectively.
- Freight Management: Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods, negotiate rates, and optimize freight costs.
Requirements
- Experience in retail, preferably in a leadership role or with significant responsibilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, customers, and external partners.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on achieving business objectives.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
Estimated Salary Range:$40,000 - $60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
