Job Title: Child Development Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Child Development Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.


About the Role

This is a temporary position with 30-40 hours of work per week. You will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that support the overall well-being of children. Your expertise will also be sought after in supervising staff, trainingees, or volunteers, as well as assisting early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest
  • Encourage children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
  • Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts
  • Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
  • Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer dental plan and vision care benefits. Free parking is available on site.
