Job Overview
As a key member of the Toronto Parking Authority team, we are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our Financial Planning & Analysis department. This role will play a crucial part in enabling business success through partnership and exceptional analytical skills.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting, with a minimum of five years of experience in a similar role. They will be able to effectively communicate complex financial information to senior leadership and stakeholders, and possess excellent relationship-building skills to develop and sustain client partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and present comprehensive annual financial budgets, monthly forecasts, and profitability analysis for each business segment.
  • Develop and maintain accurate financial models (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and Equity) for forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning purposes.
  • Collaborate with City of Toronto stakeholders to ensure timely financial reporting and provide supporting schedules as required.
  • Leverage business intelligence tools to develop a site- and channel-level financial dashboard and KPIs.
  • Analyze monthly variances to budget and prior year, identifying root causes and developing qualitative and quantitative analyses in collaboration with business partners.
  • Support capital expenditure tracking and forecasting with key stakeholders, determining risks and opportunities.
  • Provide data-driven insights through monthly and quarterly management reporting, synthesizing key trends and communicating business insights to senior leadership.
  • Identify and analyze trends, risks, and opportunities to support short- and long-term business objectives.
  • Implement process efficiencies and job enhancements through strong business acumen and continuous improvement principles.
