The Role

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Internal Medicine Specialist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing excellent patient care, a strong background in diagnosing and managing a wide range of complex internal conditions, and the ability to work within a collaborative practice environment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive care to adult patients with a wide range of internal diseases and conditions.
  • Diagnose and manage complex acute and chronic illnesses, including those affecting multiple systems.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history taking, physical examinations, and ordering/interpreting diagnostic tests.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and adjust therapies accordingly.
  • Provide preventative healthcare counseling, including guidance on lifestyle modifications.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge in internal medicine through continuing education and professional development activities.

Requirements

  • Medical degree from an accredited institution
  • A valid license to practice medicine from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
  • Certification in Internal Medicine by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC)
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge in the broad field of internal medicine
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an empathetic approach to patient care
  • Previous experience as an independent practitioner is a strong asset
