Consultant Physician in Respiratory Medicine Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Physician with a passion for Respiratory Medicine to join our esteemed team at Triple West Medical. Our client, a prestigious NHS Trust, is proud to be rated as outstanding by the Care Quality Commission for the quality of medical care and hyper-acute services.

The successful appointee will be responsible for providing expert care to patients with respiratory conditions, including cystic fibrosis and other complex lung diseases. The role will involve:

  1. Providing inpatient care as part of the respiratory team, working closely with colleagues to deliver high-quality patient care.
  2. Rotating on and off the wards, providing daily consultant input and supervising care on the medical High Dependency Unit.
  3. Offering in-reach services to the medical assessment unit and emergency department.
  4. Providing inpatient consultations and telephone advice to GPs for admission avoidance.
  5. Delivering inpatient and outpatient care for general respiratory and general internal medicine patients.
  6. Supporting the team with bronchoscopy lists and pleural procedures.
  7. Participating in on-call commitments to cover the general medical weekday rota and respiratory weekend days.
  8. Contributing to teaching junior doctors, nurses, and medical students.
