Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure waste is processed in a timely and safe manner, adhering to all regulatory requirements and company protocols.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of trucks and containers, maintaining a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Verify that incoming waste conforms to acceptance criteria, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Operate processing machinery and equipment as required, performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting tasks.
- Ensure safe operation and procedures are followed at all times, promoting a culture of safety within the team.
- Complete paperwork accurately and submit it in a timely manner, maintaining accurate records of waste processing activities.
- Conduct job hazard risk assessments, identifying potential hazards and implementing controls to mitigate risks.
- Promote a safety culture among all employees, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that all stakeholders are satisfied with the level of service received.
- Perform general shop clean-up and maintenance tasks, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Perform other miscellaneous tasks as required, contributing to the overall success of the team.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license, with a clean driving record.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to perform moderately labor-intensive and repetitious tasks, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Physical fitness, with the ability to lift over 50 pounds and stand on cement for extended periods.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems, with a focus on finding creative solutions.
- Able to work independently and in a team environment, with a strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork.
