AML Compliance Specialist

About the Role:
The AMLATF Investigator plays a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of Coast Capital Savings, detecting and preventing criminal activity related to Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough investigations into suspicious activity, preparing detailed reports with findings and recommendations.
- Assess the risk of customers' accounts for money laundering and terrorist financing activities, providing strategic guidance to minimize risk.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance efficiency in AMLATF compliance, working closely with the Senior Manager, Financial Intelligence Unit.
- Monitor high-risk accounts for potential money laundering and terrorist financing activities, identifying areas for improvement.
- Provide leadership and guidance to other departments on AMLATF-related risks and functions, developing training programs as needed.
- Maintain a deep understanding of relevant statutes, including the Criminal Code, PCMLTFA, and related case law.
Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a related field, with a strong understanding of CCS processes, procedures, and policies.
- Post-secondary education, preferably in law enforcement or criminology, with proficiency in computer applications and software programs.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
