The successful candidate will work closely with the Laboratory Supervisor to develop their skills and knowledge in geotechnical and materials engineering. They will be responsible for performing a range of tasks including sampling, field data collection, and laboratory testing.

This role involves working in a fast-paced environment, traveling to various sites, and performing a range of tasks including sampling, field data collection, and laboratory testing. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and demonstrate initiative and ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities:

  • Travel to sites for field data collection and sampling
  • Inspect drill and test pit investigations
  • Conduct laboratory tests in soils, concrete, and asphalt laboratories
  • Input test data into laboratory software programs and review generated reports for accuracy
  • Operate computerized and digital testing equipment
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants must have a related academic background and relevant work experience. A diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent is preferred, along with effective communication skills, a valid New Brunswick Driver's License, and access to their own personal vehicle.
