Job Title: Culinary Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Cornerstone African Foodland Inc. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
  • Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
  • Order supplies and equipment
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas
  • Organize buffets and banquets
  • Manage kitchen operations
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the field
  • Permanent employment
  • 30 hours per week
  • English language
Work Environment:

Our kitchen is a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and physical stamina are essential. You will be working in a restaurant setting, preparing and cooking a variety of dishes for customers.
