Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automotive Technician to join our team at Performance Auto Group. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest level of vehicle maintenance and repair.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake services.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues, including engine, transmission, and electrical systems.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues and recommend necessary repairs.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and provide clear explanations of repair options and costs.
  • Work collaboratively with other technicians and service advisors to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date with manufacturer training and industry developments to maintain expertise and provide the highest level of service.
  • Meet or exceed productivity and quality standards, ensuring timely completion of repairs and high customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to improve technical skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive team environment, promoting a culture of safety, respect, and open communication.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in automotive technology or a related field an asset.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an automotive technician, with a strong background in mechanical repair and diagnosis.
  • Valid Ontario driver's license and good driving record required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose complex mechanical issues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of productivity and attention to detail.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor and lift heavy equipment, as required.
