About the Role

Oxford Learning Centres, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated teacher/tutor to join our team as an Early Literacy Specialist. This is a part-time position that requires a strong passion for teaching and a commitment to helping students develop their reading skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach students aged 3-6 in our Little Readers program, which focuses on developing foundational reading skills.
  • Use proprietary materials and methodologies to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
  • Work directly with students, providing individualized attention and support.
  • Communicate with parents and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices in early literacy instruction.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field, such as education or a related field.
  • Experience teaching or tutoring students in the early literacy stage (ages 3-6).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple students in a classroom setting.
  • Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including afternoons and Saturdays.
