Summer Camp Experience Coordinator

We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced individuals to join our team as Summer Camp Experience Coordinators at Science North, Northern Ontario's science centre and most popular tourist attraction.
About the RoleAs a Summer Camp Experience Coordinator, you will play a vital role in delivering quality, hands-on, fun, and entertaining science camp experiences to children (aged 4-14) across Northeastern Ontario. You will work within a team of staff, while individually leading your own group, to provide supervision, leadership, and ensure the physical and emotional safety of all camp participants.
You will be responsible for organizing camp activities from setup to cleanup, creating engaging and interactive experiences that promote STEM learning and exploration. Your passion for science education, combined with your ability to communicate effectively with children and adults alike, will make you an excellent fit for this role.
What We OfferWe offer a competitive hourly rate of $17.00 CAD, providing you with a fair compensation for your skills and experience. In addition to a comprehensive training program, we also offer opportunities for professional development and growth within our organization.
Our summer camps are based in various locations across Northeastern Ontario, including Barrie, Midland, North Bay, Parry Sound, Pembroke, Sault Ste Marie, Sudbury, or Timmins. As a Summer Camp Experience Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to travel to different locations, gaining valuable experience and broadening your horizons.
Requirements and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you must have:
- A passion for science education and working with children
- Experience in leading groups and providing supervision
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
