About the Job

MPS Drywall Ltd is seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team. As a Drywall Installation Specialist, you will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, applying successive coats of compound, and sanding seams and joints.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation: Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
  • Finishing: Apply successive coats of compound, sand seams and joints, and finish corners and angles.
  • Preparation: Clean and prepare surfaces, mix plaster ingredients to desired consistency, and position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists.
  • Maintenance: Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound, and spray acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings.
  • Estimation: Estimate costs and materials, and prepare wall and ceiling layouts.
Work Environment

As a Drywall Installation Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced commercial, industrial, and residential setting, with varying locations. You will be exposed to dusty and noisy environments, and will be required to work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in drywall installation.
  • Physical Demands: Bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads, and working in a physically demanding environment.
  • Work Conditions: Dusty, noisy, and physically demanding work environment.
