About the Role

This role will involve a mix of stakeholder management, risk management/tracking, training, and documentation development. As a Compliance Risk Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining and enhancing audit, regulatory, and contractual compliance activities of the organization.
  • Preparing and maintaining a risk register to track, identify, and remediate gaps found during project, system, and software lifecycles.
  • Creating reporting to measure the effectiveness of technical controls and proposing compensating controls accordingly.

You will be working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with industry best practices and pertinent regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in risk management, ITIL V4 Foundation Cert. in ITSM, COBIT, CRISC, CISSP, or equivalent certifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with the Leader, Business and Information Security Office (BISO) & IT Compliance Management to maintain and enhance compliance activities.
  • Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to track and remediate gaps found during audits, security risk assessments, or security reviews.
  • Leveraging expertise in Information Security Management (ISM) to facilitate security assessments and compliance audits.
  • Training internal and external stakeholders on compliance requirements to ensure successful audits and legal reviews.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Business, or equivalent work experience.
  • Over 7+ years of IT, and/or non-financial risk management experience (governance, operations, audit, control functions, compliance, risk management).
  • Strong leadership capabilities in communication, coaching, influence, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
  • Knowledge or understanding of Risk / Control frameworks (ITIL, ISO, COBIT, NIST, PCI).
