Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Piping Specialist to join our team at AGS Automotive Systems. As a Piping Specialist, you will be responsible for fabricating piping assemblies from drawings and site plans, working with various pipe materials, and repairing and replacing piping systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate piping assemblies from drawings and site plans, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Work with pipe materials such as PVC, steel, and copper, selecting the most suitable materials for each project.
  • Repair and replace piping systems, including removing broken pieces and reassembling replacement fittings and sections.
  • Determine drainage direction and slope to ensure proper flow of materials.
  • Complete overhauls and major repairs to plant piping systems, including compressed air, water, steam, condensate, industrial chemicals, and waste removal systems.
  • Read and follow instruction manuals, blueprints, drawings, and sketches to carry out installations and repairs.
  • Use acetylene equipment such as torches efficiently and safely.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 education or equivalent, or a combination of training and experience.
  • Valid Ontario License Certificate of Qualification issued by the Ministry of Colleges and Universities (306A trade license).
