**Key Responsibilities**:
- Represent IGC in a professional and courteous manner on each call, keeping customer-service at the forefront.
- Perform installs, repairs and maintenance of plumbing systems and fixtures in residential, commercial, institutional, industrial or public buildings. This list includes but is not limited to:
- Supports and hangers for pipe, fixtures, and equipment
- Valves and fittings
- Water treatment equipment, piping, and controls
- Faucets, sinks, tubs, and toilets etc.
- Water heaters and filtration equipment
- Plumbing fixtures, appliances, and trim
- Test pipe systems and fixtures for leaks
- Diagnose on-site problems, accurately estimate repair costs, continual value-added communication and proper maintenance with the customer
- Work in cooperation with other trades and labourers to ensure that all specifications, legislation/policies are met, and to ensure efficient completion of any project
- Perform general and specific equipment inspections
- Identify required tools/special equipment and select the type and size of pipe required
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all modern equipment and regulations
- Adhere to all safety rules and procedures and relevant regulatory requirements.
**Skills, Abilities and Experience**:
**What We Need From You**:
- Minimum 2nd year Plumbing Apprentice
- Must have a valid 306A Apprenticeship card
- Must be a registered member with the Ontario College of Trades or become a member
- Has completed a minimum of 2 terms of school
- Must have a driver’s license with clean drivers abstract
- Must be physically capable of performing all work required of this position
- Must have very strong customer service and communication skills with ability to go above and beyond.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Able to quote and complete projects in a timely manner
**It is considered an asset if you possess the following**:
- Safety certifications: Fall Arrest, WHMIS, Confined Space, or First Aid.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
