About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Once Upon a Child Halifax. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a high level of product knowledge, and contributing to a positive and engaging store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet customers and provide a positive shopping experience, answering questions and offering advice on merchandise.
  • Merchandise Management: Maintain a high level of product knowledge, including current trends and styles, to effectively assist customers with their purchases.
  • Store Operations: Assist with visual merchandising, restocking shelves, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales goals and provide exceptional customer service.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Work Setting: Second-hand store, clothing store.
  • Physical Capabilities: Standing for extended periods, repetitive tasks.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs), up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Collaborative, efficiency, hardworking, integrity, positive attitude, proactive, quick learner, time management, dependability, organized, reliability, team player, excellent oral communication.
