Nurse Practitioner Role

Southbridge Care Homes is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Chelsey Park Retirement Community in London, Ontario.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our residents, working closely with the Resident Services Manager to ensure the effective management and quality of nursing practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess residents and develop, implement, review, and evaluate resident care plans.
  • Monitor residents' health, note changes in condition, and assess the need for referral to doctors; process and implement physician orders and administer medication.
  • Interpret and implement established policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Plan, direct, supervise, and evaluate the work of nursing and personal care staff.

Qualifications

  • Appropriate current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of nursing and healthcare practices, as well as knowledge in Infection Control Practices.
  • Effective human relation skills and demonstrated commitment to working with seniors.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively are essential.
  • Current police check.
  • Current CPR and First Aid.
