About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our team at Schlegel Villages. As an RPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain current RPN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Deliver safe administration of medication and treatments with a focus on accuracy, quality, and meeting our residents' quality of life requests.
  • Follow plans of care (or service plans) in accordance with the standards of the College of Nurses and identify and report any changes in the resident's well-being to the Charge Nurse or Village leadership team.
  • Support and embrace our resident-centered social culture and deliver the highest quality of personal care to our residents.
  • Work as a key member of our Village and Neighbourhood multidisciplinary team to understand residents' individual needs and advocate for residents to actively participate in decisions about their care.

Requirements:

  • Current RPN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Existing Heart Save Level of CPR.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively, properly plan for, and allocate the right amount of time and effort to complete tasks.
  • Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, legislation, and regulations applicable to the Long-Term Care sector.
