About the Role

We are seeking a Strategic Procurement Lead to join our Procurement team at the Ontario Cannabis Store (OCS). This role involves leading all procurement and vendor management services across the OCS, ensuring compliance with government directives and company policies.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in procurement, particularly in highly regulated industries, and strong leadership skills. They will be responsible for developing and implementing successful procurement strategies, managing vendor relationships, and analyzing complex data to make strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business goals and objectives.
  • Lead and mentor the procurement team to achieve high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with Senior Leaders to align procurement activities with organizational priorities.
  • Oversee procurement training initiatives to ensure comprehensive understanding of procurement policies and procedures.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms to ensure favorable outcomes for the organization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • 5+ years' experience in a Procurement Leadership position within a highly regulated industry or similar field/industry is preferred.
  • Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation is preferred.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year
