Job Title: Plasterer

K Sidhu Contracting Ltd. is seeking a skilled Plasterer to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Plasterer to work on various projects, including residential and commercial buildings. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying, leveling, and smoothing coats of plaster, as well as cleaning and preparing surfaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster to create a smooth and even surface.
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for plastering, including dusting and vacuuming.
  • Cure freshly plastered surfaces to ensure a strong bond.
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in the finish coat, if required.
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets.
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow the coat to dry.
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound.
  • Trowel or spray coats of stucco over exteriors of buildings to form weatherproof surfaces.
  • Attach metal or gypsum lath to studs or furring.
  • Install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings, using hand and power tools.
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in plastering.
  • Permanent employment.
  • English as the primary language of work.
  • 35 to 40 hours of work per week.
Work Environment

The work environment is dusty and outdoors.
