About the Role:

Giant Tiger is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Cashier (Part-Time) to join our team in Espanola. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a high level of customer service at the checkouts
  • Accurately record customer transactions in electronic cash registers and self-checkouts
  • Replenish merchandise around the checkout area
  • Ensure health and safety policies and guidelines are followed
  • Ensure Loss prevention best practices are followed
  • Ensure compliance of all policies when selling Tobacco and Lottery

Requirements:

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Demands:

The physical demands of this role include standing and/or walking, bending, twisting, and squatting. You will also be required to lift and/or move up to 18 kg (40 lbs) and perform tasks involving firm grasping and repetitive hand motions.

Working Conditions:

A typical full-time schedule will consist of day shifts, two evenings per week, and alternating weekends with a schedule of 35-40 hours weekly. A typical part-time schedule will be a mix of days, evenings, and weekends, up to 24 hours weekly.
