Employment and Social Development Canada is seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join their team in Vancouver. As an Automotive Service Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of vehicles.
Job OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Automotive Service Technician who can work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment. Your primary responsibility will be to inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions. Additionally, you will confirm findings with your supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace units.
Skillset- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in automotive systems and components
- Strong knowledge of vehicle inspection procedures
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Registered Apprenticeship certificate
- 1-2 years of experience in automotive service
- Valid driver's license
The selected candidate will work in a garage setting, which may involve exposure to dusty, dirty, and noisy conditions. You must be physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
Salary and BenefitsThe estimated salary range for this position is $17.40 per hour, based on industry standards and location factors. The job offers a competitive compensation package, including benefits and opportunities for growth and development.
