Job DescriptionIn this role, you will be responsible for:
- Preparing and administering prescribed medications and treatments as directed by physicians and in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Documenting and following up on resident concerns and complaints, and informing/seeking assistance from registered nurses or designates.
- Promoting resident self-care and self-sufficiency, emphasizing adaptation and abilities, promoting wellness, and providing preventative health education.
- Completing required assessments, RAPS, and care plans within timeframes as required.
- SUPPORTING UNREGULATED CARE WORKERS THROUGH GUIDANCE, DIRECTION, TRAINING, AND EDUCATION.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- A minimum of one (1) year experience in Geriatric Nursing, Healthcare, and/or Rehabilitation as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN).
- All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check.
- As part of legislative requirements, all successful candidates must meet the provincial police check and tuberculosis screening requirements as applicable.
