Job Summary:

The Family Medicine Specialist will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, conducting medical examinations, and developing treatment plans to promote health and wellness. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough medical examinations to diagnose and treat various health conditions
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to promote health and wellness
  • Prescribe and administer medications and treatments as needed
  • Order laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures to determine the most appropriate medical treatment
  • Consult with other medical professionals to evaluate patients' physical and mental health
  • Deliver babies and provide pre-natal and post-natal care
  • Advise patients on health care and provide education on healthy habits and lifestyle choices
  • Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases to government authorities
  • Be the patient advocate and coordinate or manage primary patient care
  • Provide acute care management and supervise home care services
Requirements:
  • College of Family Physicians Certification (CCFP)
  • Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC)
  • Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
Work Environment:

The Family Medicine Specialist will work in a hybrid environment, with a mix of in-person and remote work. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
